Welcome to Three Wee Owls Family Daycare.

My name is Sharon Saunders, and I am the owner and childcare provider at Three Wee Owls Family Daycare. I am the wife of a funny, hardworking and loving hubby, and a lucky mother of six: my youngest child is fourteen, and my eldest is thirty-five. With nine grandchildren, I have always loved being around children and watching them grow.

I started my home family daycare as a solution to our own childcare needs during school holidays. I can now enjoy quality time with my younger children at home while also supporting my family and doing what I love, and know best. I have been a mum for thirty-five years, and an Assistant Nurse for past six years, working in the community caring for the elderly and disabled. While this was a very rewarding career, it was getting difficult to spend quality time with my own children and family. After spending a weekend looking after my grandson, I remembered how much fun it was looking after young ones (opposed to the oldies), so that is how Three Wee Owls Family Daycare came about, named after the three baby Tawny Frogmouth owls nesting in the tree across the road.

Meet my family.

My eldest daughter Jodie has just returned to The Gap after serving an internship in Canberra which has been an exciting adventure for herself and hubby Brett, and their four children Bailey, Cooper, Holly and Charli.

My eldest son Josh and his new wife Rachel have their own family daycare at Wellington Point, which they have been successfully running for the past six years. Their son Johnathon suffers from severe allergies and anaphylaxis, but is one of the happiest nine year old's around, along with their youngest Matilda who is a little cutie.

Ben is a natural in the hospitality game, a real hard working, people person, looking to one day own his own business.

He and partner Samantha live in Ballina with their three girls Isabella, Gianna and Amelia.

Wynter has just graduated grade 12, looking forward to university. A very active seventeen year old who like dancing, acrobatics and cheerleading. You will often see her doing flips and tumbles at any opportunity she gets. Little kids are drawn to her bubbly personality.

Mackenzie is your typical fourteen year old, with a love of soccer, reading books and playstation (not necessarily in that order). Another favourite with the little kids, with groovy hairdo and laid-back attitude.
